Currently, ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Acquisition Program Manager to join our team in Albuquerque, NM.
Acquisition Program Manager
The primary purpose of this position is to serve as program analyst and program advisor to for a DoD client performing a variety of business functions involving the formulation of the portfolio level records, tracking of execution status, and/or analysis of project allocations, and economic and financial performance studies for research and development projects and support activities. Responsible for project support for a wide range of functions which include assessments, program management, planning and contract support for a wide range of DoD and non-DoD national level programs.
Responsibilities Include but are not limited to:
- Participates in strategic planning to improve organizational direction and focus using strategic planning tools and techniques.
- Prepares detailed plans, budget inputs, and schedules for assigned major programs and/or participates with management in fiscal planning.
- Responsible for providing integrating requirements into the annual fiscal programs, e.g., Program Objective Memorandum (POM).
- Provides support and advice on reprogramming of funds and funding levels due to manpower or other changes. Assists the organization by evaluating modifications to existing plans in response to changing environments.
- Coordinates with Leadership and Contracting Officers to provide acceptable contractual documents such as solicitation documents, acquisition plans, award fee plans, source selection plans, justification review documents, and contract milestones with appropriate program personnel.
Basic Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience with DoD financial management and/or DoD contracting
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related field
- Knowledge of the laws, principles, policies, and practices of DoD systems acquisition and program management.
- Knowledge of the mission, roles, functions, organizational structures, and operation of the DoD, Office Under Secretary of Defense for Research and Engineering (OUSD R & E), Air Force, and organizations that govern, interface with, and/or influence the systems acquisition process.
- Skill in staff level planning, organizing, and overseeing critical aspects of development, production, and support of systems, subsystems, or equipment.
- Ability to integrate, analyze, and manage a variety of acquisition functions in support of research, development of system, subsystem, and components.
- Ability to communicate both orally and in writing, clearly, concisely, and with technical accuracy.

Physical Requirements:
- The person in this position must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.
- Occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, or to communicate with co-workers, management, and customers, via email, phone, and or virtual communication, which may involve delivering presentations.
