ManTech seeks a motivated, bright intern to join our team on site in Lexington Park, MD. This is an onsite position.

This is an excellent opportunity for a student with a strong interest in Aerospace Engineering to gain hands-on experience and work alongside leading experts.

In order to be considered for this role, a candidate must be a US Citizen eligible for a Security Clearance. 

The Aerospace Engineer Intern will conduct engineering tasks associated with design and manufacture of test coupons in addition to supporting test procedures.  The intern will research basic design for additive guidance, Infill types/use cases and layer height impact to shear properties. 

The Intern will design test coupons for thin wall material testing, tall tower testing, print bed consistency testing, interference fit tolerance design, infill strength/shear impacts and boundary layer strength and shear impacts.  

The intern will manufacture test articles, operate 3D printers and prepare test articles including removal of support material.  The Intern will also support engineers performing material and component testing. 

Required Qualifications:

  • U.S. Citizen with an active US Security Clearance or eligible to obtain a US Security Clearance  

  • Current full-time student pursuing a BS/MS in Aerospace Engineering or related field with a projected expected graduation date after August 2025

  • Academic or professional experience with CAD modelling and 3D printing

  • Proficiency with design programs to include: Fusion 360, Autodesk Inventor, Autodesk AutoCAD

  • Desire to work in 3D printing

  • Ability to work on-site in Lexington Park, MD


The projected compensation range for this position is $45,700.00-$75,700.00.
