ManTech seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Corporate Counsel to join our team in Herndon, Virginia. This is an excellent opportunity for a highly motivated attorney to become part of a collaborative in-house legal team. The Corporate Counsel will report directly to the General Counsel and assist the legal team with the management of a variety of legal issues.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
General Legal Support: Provide legal support to other attorneys in the department and to various business units.
Litigation and Dispute Resolution: Work closely with other attorneys and outside counsel to manage disputes and potential litigation; assist with alternate dispute resolution when appropriate.
Research and Writing: Perform research to learn best practices and develop policies and procedures in line with federal, international, and commercial procurement regulations and laws
Contract Review and Guidance: Assist in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a broad array of business agreements.
Risk Management: Identify legal risks and assist in developing strategies to mitigate those risks in various business operations.
Intellectual Property and Privacy: Assist as needed with intellectual property and data privacy matters.
Leading or advising on investigations related to claims, litigation, and internal complaints
Supporting or advising on employment issues, including the hiring issues related to government contracting
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree and Law Degree from an accredited law school
4 or more years of experience with researching and providing legal advice on issues related to government contracting, general litigation, privacy, compliance, contracts, and international corporate and employment-related matters
Substantive knowledge and experience with compliance and risk management strategies
Member of Virginia State Bar or eligible for Virginia State Bar membership without examination or currently have a Virginia Corporate Counsel Certificate
Ability to work well independently and within teams sound legal judgment and business sense
Preferred Qualifications:
Success and comfort with managing multiple matters in a fast-paced environment
Excellent oral and written communication skills, including drafting and editing
Strong analytical and reasoning skills
Experience as a management-side employment attorney
Legal experience serving as in-house counsel
Experience with federal government contracting, insider threat, internal investigations, cybersecurity, privacy, and crisis response.

Physical Requirements:
The person in this position must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.
