ManTech seeks an experienced and passionate, career and customer-oriented DevOps/Systems Engineer to join our team located in the Ft. Meade, MD area. As the DevOps/Systems Engineer, your primary focus will be on process automation within the Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) Operating System (OS) environment.
 

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Analyze user needs, concept of operations, and architectures to develop system requirements.
  • Analyze system requirements, evaluate alternative designs, and conduct feasibility studies.
  • Develop technical documentation.
  • Guide system development and planning and prepare system engineering management plans and system integration and test plans.
  • Interact with the Government regarding problems, issues or conflicts.
  • Support verification and monitor the technical quality.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree and 2 years of experience or 4 years of total experience.
  • Experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux
  • Experience with Puppet/Ansible
  • Experience with Bash/Python/Ruby
  • Experience with Git/GitLab
  • Experience with RPM Packaging (spec)
  • Experience with VMware/KVM
  • Experience with Infrastructure/Hardware Knowledge
  • Experience with Networking
  • Experience with Docker/Podman
  • Experience with Structured data such as JSON/YAML/XM

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Atlassian tool suite (e.g., Jira, Confluence)
  • Experience working in a software development environment
  • Experience with Agile methodology

Clearance Requirements:

  • No clearance required but must be willing to obtain the TS/SCI with Poly
     

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position at least 50% of the time.
  • Needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
  • Constantly operate a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as, the copy machine/fax machine/computer/printer.


The projected compensation range for this position is $83,300.00-$138,800.00. There are differentiating factors that can impact a final salary/hourly rate, including, but not limited to, Contract Wage Determination, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location (For Remote Opportunities), education and certifications as well as Federal Government Contract Labor categories.  In addition, MANTECH invests in it’s employees beyond just compensation.  MANTECH’s benefits offerings include, dependent upon position, Health Insurance, Life Insurance, Paid Time Off, Holiday Pay, Short Term and Long Term Disability, Retirement and Savings, Learning and Development opportunities, wellness programs as well as other optional benefit elections.
