MANTECH seeks a driven and technically skilled Network Engineer to support critical mission operations in Herndon, VA. You will help design, implement, and maintain network systems that underpin national security objectives. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Supporting network infrastructure operations, including configuration, troubleshooting, and performance monitoring

• Installing, maintaining, and upgrading network hardware such as routers, switches, firewalls, and cabling

• Maintaining compliance with security protocols and documentation standards

• Monitoring network performance and implementing corrective measures to ensure optimal availability and reliability

• Participating in network design and implementation efforts for new systems or expansions

• Collaborating with system engineers, administrators, and security personnel to maintain network integrity

• Maintaining accurate network diagrams and inventory documentation

• Responding to and resolving network incidents and service requests

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree and 0 or more years of experience supporting enterprise network environments

• Network+ certification

• Experience with routing and switching technologies (e.g., Cisco, Juniper)

• Familiarity with firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection/prevention systems

• Working knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and other core protocols

• Ability to work independently and in team environments

Preferred Qualifications:

• Additional certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or Security+

• Experience supporting federal or DoD network infrastructures

• Familiarity with network monitoring tools and configuration management systems

• Strong communication and documentation skills

Clearance Requirements:

• An active Top Secret clearance is required to be considered for this role.

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time

• Occasionally moves about inside the office to access equipment and systems

• Frequently communicates with teammates and stakeholders. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
