ManTech seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Science and Research Analyst to help support our current contract with Marine Corps Systems Command out of Quantico, VA.
The focus of analytical efforts is twofold: perform integration analysis of current and future Marine air-ground task force (MAGTF) command and control systems and evaluate and identify MAGTF systems’ and platforms’ current and planned tactical data link (TDL) requirements and interoperability.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Identify current and future systems used by MAGTF units
Analyze systems’ and platforms’ implementation schedules and individual system and platform command and control and interface capabilities
Assist in the preparation of charts, graphics, and reports identifying potential interface and/or interoperability efficiencies, shortfalls, efficient and inefficient redundancies, and opportunities for investment.
Support Marine Corps Interoperability Enhancement Process (IEP) efforts through documenting and assessing current and future MAGTF systems’ TDL implementation at the bit-level
Assess current and future MAGTF systems’ tactical data link implementation needs
Assess TDL interoperability across MAGTF systems’ at the TDL message- and bit-levels
Assess the impact of TDL message engineering change proposals on MAGTF operations
Preparing and reviewing reports concerning current and projected MAGTF systems’ and platforms’ TDL implementation and interoperability and other IEP efforts.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree and at least 5 years of experience in TDL operations and planning. Additional 5 years of experience can be substituted in lieu of degree.
Experience with MAGTF organization and command and control systems’ employment and MAGTF and joint force TDL systems
Experience with the IEP to include the interoperable Systems Management and Requirements Transformation (iSMART) process, the enhanced Systems Management and Requirements Transformation (eSMART) tool, and applicable DoD instructions, military standards, and pertinent regulations regarding TDL operations.
Advanced experience with Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Word and Project)
Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge in leading analysis efforts on highly complex problems or mission specific operational problems, directing technical teams on operational and/or developmental projects throughout system life cycle (development of requirements to final delivery)
Clearance Required:
Must have an Active Secret Clearance
