ManTech seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Senior Systems Engineer to join our team in Doral, FL.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Applying systems systems engineering principles through out the systems lifecycle phases: concept, development, production, utilization, support, and retirement.
  • Interact with project teams regarding systems engineering technical considerations and associated problems, issues, or conflicts, and communicate with other technical project personnel, Government stakeholders, and senior executives.
  • Ensure technical integrity, quality, and completeness of work performed and deliverables associated with 1 or more then 25 process areas defined by ISO/IEC 15288, including the technical process, enterprise process and agreement process areas.
  • Contribute to the development of sections of systems engineering documentation, such as systems engineering plans, initial capability documents, requirements specifications, and interface control documents, ensuring alignment with architectural frameworks such as the Unified Architecture Framework (UAF).
  • Ensure regulatory and requirement compliance of IT systems.
  • Provide direction and mentorship to subordinate staff.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • BA/BS degree in a related field or four years of additional experience in lieu of a degree.

  • 9+ years of total experience.

  • 5+ years of position-specific relevant experience.

  • Strong understanding of systems engineering principles and methodologies (e.g., ISO/IEC 15288).  

  • Experience with the entire systems lifecycle (concept, development, production, utilization, support, and retirement).  

  • Experience with requirements analysis and decomposition.  

  • Ability to apply systems engineering principles in an agile-informed environment. 

  • Familiarity with DoD 5000.02 Acquisition Framework and documentation requirements. Experience in developing systems engineering artifacts in compliance with DoD 5000.02.  

  • Experience in developing systems engineering documentation (e.g., Systems Engineering Plans, requirements specifications, interface control documents).  

  • Ability to communicate effectively with technical and nontechnical audiences, including Government stakeholders and senior executives.  

  • Understanding of agile-informed development methodologies and their application in systems engineering.  

  • Experience in working with Agile Teams and contributing to agile-informed processes. 

  • Knowledge of relevant regulatory and compliance requirements for IT systems.  

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience supporting DoD programs.  

  • Experience with IT systems and cloud-based technologies.  

  • Experience with systems modeling and simulation tools.  

  • Experience with risk management methodologies and their application in systems engineering.  

  • In-depth knowledge of specific technical domains (e.g., network engineering, software development, cybersecurity). INCOSE

  • Certified Systems Engineering Professional (CSEP) or Expert System Engineering Professional (ESEP). DoD 8570.01-M IAT Level II certification. ITIL Foundation certificate. CSEP. Project Management Professional (PMP) Agile certifications (e.g., Certified Scrum Master). 

  • Experience at a DoD Combatant Command (e.g., SOUTHCOM, NORTHCOM, CENTCOM, CYBERCOM, INDOPACOM, EUCOM, AFRICOM, STRATCOM, TRANSCOM, SOCOM, SPACECOM) or a component is desired. 

Clearance Requirements:

  • Must have an active Secret clearance.

Physical Requirements:

  • The person in this position must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time. Occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, or to communicate with co-workers, management, and customers, via email, phone, and or virtual communication, which may involve delivering presentations.
