Currently, ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Systems Engineer to join our team in Laurel, Maryland.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to: 

  • Provide expertise in software engineering solutions alongside various customer programs, agnostic of software stacks each enclave is using.
  • Assist with solution development in coordination with technical resources within the organization and provide subject matter expertise and guidance.
  • Support solution development guidance for the next generation platform architecture (CWE)
  • Lead technical briefings with government teams, to brief technical status and understanding of risks and roadblocks in meeting requirements.

Minimum Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required.  Four (4) years of additional experience on projects with similar software processes may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.
  • Sixteen (16) years’ experience as a SWE/SE in programs and contracts of similar scope, type and complexity is required.
  • IAT II certification or ability to obtain within 60 days of start.
  • Solid understanding of Software Development practices.
     

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Twenty (20) years’ experience as a SWE/SE in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.
  • Understanding/awareness of the following:
    • Layer 2 and Layer 3 networking
    • Networking routing topologies (e.g. bpg. ebgp)
    • Firewall rules and policies (including layer 7 firewalls)
    • DNS
    • DHCP
    • Identity management (e.g. Active Directory, LDAP)
    • Encryption and key management (e.g. PKI, KMS, KMIP)
    • Enterprise storage principles (e.g. NFS, SMB/CIFS, S3)
    • Compute virtualization (e.g. VMware)
    • Virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI)
    • Visio

Clearance Requirements:

  • Must have a current/active TS/SCI with Polygraph
     

Physical Requirements:

  • The person in this position must be able to remain in a stationary position 70% of the time. Occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, or to communicate with co-workers, management, and customers, via email, phone, and or virtual communication, which may involve delivering presentations.

The projected compensation range for this position is $162,600.00-$289,500.00.
